Barley Mushroom Soup (WFPBNO)*

Ingredients

6-1/2 cup water

1/2 cup barley

1 medium onion, chopped

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon parsley flakes

2 teaspoons dill weed

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/8 teaspoon freshly ground pepper

1/8 teaspoon horseradish powder  or wasabi

1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced

2 cups shredded cabbage

Directions

Place water, barley, onion, and seasonings in a large pot. Cover and cook over medium heat for 30 minutes. Add the mushrooms and cabbage and cook for another 30 minutes.
