6 (about 2-ounce) servings
1 can (16 ounces) chickpeas
2/3 up fresh cilantro
1 clove garlic
3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
3 tablespoons tahini paste
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/3 cup olive oil
Drain chickpeas, discarding water.
Combine all the ingredients in a food processor or blender. Puree until smooth.
