Hot Fudge Sauce

This guilt-free chocolate sauce goes nicely on plant-based ice cream or fruit. You can make it less sweet by cutting back on the agave.

Ingredients

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

2 tablespoons cornstarch

1-1/2 cups nondairy milk, divided

5 tablespoons agave nectar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pinch of sea salt

Directions

1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk together the cocoa, cornstarch, and 1/2 cup of the milk until blended.

2. Add the remaining 1 cup milk and the agave to the saucepan and continue to whisk until thoroughly combined.

3. Cook the mixture over medium heat, whisking constantly, for 2-3 minutes, or until it forms a thick sauce.

4. Remove the saucepan from the heat and whisk in the vanilla and sea salt.

5. Serve warm over your favorite dessert.
