1/2 cup aged balsamic vinegar (high quality preferred)
1/4 cup water
3 tbsp low-sodium tamari
3 dates cut up small
2 figs cut up small
1/2 tbsp onion granules or minced red onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1-1/2 tbsp nutritional yeast (optional)
fresh herbs of choice (sage, parsley, rosemary, oregano, or chives), minced
freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Whiz all of these ingredients in your high-speed blender.
This versatile dressing and/or marinate can be made in advance, allowing the flavors to meld together.
